About Us

With over 50 years of experience in the dental technology field, Andre offers a deep understanding of every facet of the Dental industry and business and continues to make a positive impact even in his retirement. 

Andre entered the Quebec Dental Technician Program in 1965, moved to Ontario in 1967 to continue his education and in 1974 he became a Registered Dental Technician. Throughout his career he has remained committed to continuing his professional education both locally and abroad, across a variety of expertise - Dental Technology, Finance, Business and Advertising & Marketing

For the last 25 years, and with great success, Andre managed a medium size (US owned) Dental Laboratory in Toronto. During this time his responsibilities extended to Regional Technical Director, working with several of the group’s laboratories to improve quality and productivity. In addition, he played a key role in creating and implementing training programs for new hire and upgrading current staff and ran quality evaluations for producing laboratories to meet and exceed clients satisfaction – ensuring the current methods and practices were being implemented?

Beyond his commitment to the Lab, Andre remained active within the industry:

- Serving as a director for the Commercial Dental Laboratory Conference (CDLC).

- Playing a leadership role in merging  the CDLC into the Dental Industry Association of Canada (DIAC) .

- Participating as a member of  the Dental Laboratory Committee of DIAC. 

- Founder of DentoGala to recognize newly registered technicians. An even that is still going on today under the hospices of the Association of Dental Technologist of Ontario. 

- A task forces and committee member with the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario (CDTO). 

- Responsable for starting with the initial “Standard of Practice” task force at the inception of the CDTO after the legislation was passed. 

- Serving on several committees: Complaints, Appeal, Quality Assurance and Examination.

- Assisting the Bermuda Dental Board in the design of their written and practical examination for Dental Technicians.

Andre has also lectured extensively over his career for manufacturers both with lectures and hands-on courses. Creating presentations of productivity (CAL Lab. Chicago), Infection Control (CDTO), professional responsibility (CDTO) and Unethical practices for DIAC at the ODA convention. He has contributed a chapter for the Atlas of Laminate veneers and several opinions published in the Oral Health Journal.

Finally, in his retirement Andre has transitioned into the role of consultant, and in 2018 worked with laboratories in Bermuda and Mumbai, India, providing hands-on training on basic Dental laboratory  techniques and counseling on improving quality and effectiveness.  

In 2019, Andre would like to continue to leverage his wealth of knowledge and continue to positively impact the industry.
